报告摘要:

For high excitation energies the atomic nuclei can be described as a thermodynamic equilibrium in which all configurations contribute with a Boltzmann factor exp(-E/kT). At finite temperatures the nucleus may exhibit abundant thermodynamic phases related to the formation and decay of nuclear clusters. In this talk I will introduce a recently developed Monte Carlo method called the pinhole trace algorithm for ab initio calculations of the nuclear thermodynamics. For typical simulations, the speedup relative to conventional methods can be as large as a factor of one thousand. We applied this method to study the nuclear liquid-gas phase transition and the temperature dependence of the nuclear clustering.
